I went to Vegas not too long ago, and I struck up a conversation with two Canadian ladies. They asked where I was from and I said "DC". However, they heard "BC". We went through several rounds of BC/DC miscommunication before we all realized what the other was saying. I was pretty funny. Also, I live in Maryland, but when I am out of town I tell people I am from DC. It just makes it easier and it's more interesting to say than Maryland.[/quote]
