I have ridden a scooter a grand total of one time - didn't like riding it, give me a bike anytime instead. But I come to the defense of scooters, in part because I know a lot of the scooter haters are bike hating jerks like you. BTW, do you want a license and insurance required for someone riding an owned scooter (the scooter companies at least have insurance)? A disable person riding a mobility scooter? Because they could also hit someone, and I suspect in DC they are less likely to have insurance, or any assets. [/quote]
