How do you know that she wants to give him an income?  And really, is is so awful for her to pay his medical bills and provide him with a decent home (I haven't seen the one he currently lives in, but you bet if I were her I would take care of him)?  He really did have a heart attack prior to her wedding.  She is on top of the world.  Again, I don't see the harm in her taking care of him.  Does she think this will just go away?

Damage control should have swooped in and scooped up her father prior to the wedding.  This drama is never going away.

Umm she doesn’t want to provide him with an income. That’s the point. It’s weird to me that I see so many adults on DCUM say ‘I had kids to take care of me in old age’. No, kids are not your servants and they certainly don’t have to pay for your lifestyle as you age. You should be smart enough to set up retirement income and a good home as you grow old as Thomas Markle clearly was not.

He’s not even old enough to be in a senior care facility but he’s so broke that he’s sobbing at the doorstep of the daughter who worked incredibly hard for her life. Why doesn’t he go live with Samantha? Oh, that’s right she’s as desperate as he is. [/quote]

PP, I mis-typed.  I am the poster you are responding to.  I meant to write that another poster said her father wants her to take care of him/provide him with an income.  I wrote that I did not read that he wants her to provide him with an income.  If this is printed somewhere, please link.
