The new owners are a beautiful family.  The mother of the new family says she thinks the murdered member of the former family keeps them safe because there have been several instances of when things could have gone badly wrong (pan caught fire in the kitchen, break-in attempt) yet the situation has righted itself with almost no intervention.

I think it would be a different thing altogether to consider purchasing a house where continued abuse occurred or suicide.[/quote]
