Pasta with fresh balck truffles in Rome - to die for!
I just finished reading this thread and was going to post ravioli with fresh black truffles in Rome! We have been to Italy many times but this place was amazing. To the Sicilian poster: my DH is half-Sicilian (and half Italian haha!) and we had a similar fish-based tasting menu in Lipari (part of the Aeolian Islands). So yummy! And of course, all of the desserts: gelato in Italy, Sachertorte at the hotel that invented it in Austria, macarons and crepes in Paris and freshly made Belgian waffles with fresh melted Belgian chocolate drizzled on top in Antwerp. That was probably 20 years ago now and I can still remember sitting on a bench and tasting it for the first time. Ok - now I’m seriously hungry and need to book another trip to Europe, stat!
