Too many people inside and outside lacked courage to insist on making things right. All those doctors who treated deviant priests and cleared them for more ministry.   The world today is much more open and we are lucky for that.  We are lucky we’ve grown as a society that we don’t see it as shame and can confront it.[/quote]

Well said!  We can also make excuses and stay in the corrupt system because so much about it feels good -- or used to feel good.  Such pleasant memories - so tempting to want to pass that on to our children.  But the crap gets passed on too.[/quote]
