It sounds odd, but yes, that’s something that I’ve helded teens with in the past, especially swimmers and gymnasts who have a dire need to use tampons ASAP.

PSA to parents of teens:
DO NOT buy Kotex sleek tampons. I tried them and the string pulled out of the cotton on multiple occasions, leaving me to fish it out myself. I looked them up online and other people have had the same problem. No teen should have to deal with that.
