That's exactly it- basically comments about "obnoxious Americans".  Which I can KIND OF understand in the context of cultural differences and not liking Trump, etc- however, when it moves over into "Americans have no sense of humor" "Americans have the worst food" "Americans all dress like slobs" I start to think it's just flat out unacceptable generalized rudeness [/quote]

OMG, I wonder if we have the same friend.  I have one who is just like this - always saying rude and negative things about the US, where she now lives.  I have been so tempted to tell her just to move back to the UK already.  She'd be happier, I'd be happier.  [/quote]

I think it's just the Brits in general.  This is exactly the strain of rudeness OP is talking about. Why move somewhere and complain about it 24/7 and make no effort to move elsewhere?  That's when it becomes you just want to be a douche and complain [/quote]
