There's some nice farmland in the western part of the Ukraine but that's about it. Russia appears to have conquered the most valuable resource-rich, industrialized territory in the Ukraine's eastern region. If this continues much longer, Russia will probably reach Odessa and what will be left of the Ukraine will be an impoverished, landlocked rump state; at that point they'd be better off allowing themselves to be incorporated into Poland, Hungry, etc. Sad to see so much death and destruction but there was no other way this was going to end. The Germans learned in WW2 that you can't go up against the Russian behemoth and expect to win a war of attrition. Hopefully, the stark reality of what they're facing will bring the Ukrainians to the negotiating table to cut their losses and find a way to live in peace with their neighbor to the east.
The Germans learned they couldn't win an invasion of the USSR. But, Ukraine hasn't invaded Russia, rather the reverse. As long as the US doesn't cut Ukraine aid off, Ukraine can win because Ukraine isn't fighting a war of attrition. It is innovating and building their military and military industry to defeat Russia. Europe is and will support the Ukrainian war because half of Europe has already experienced what it is to fight Russia and be ruled by Russia. And the other half of Europe realizes that Russia is already in a grey war with Europe through acts of sabotage, and penetration testing defenses. If Russia doesn't lose the war against Ukraine, Europe knows that Putin will invade again - probably the Baltics - in less than 10 years.
