They have already named the new leader (and have 10 more, in order, behind him) and he is more conservative and harsher than the one they just killed. The military will be faithful to him, so nothing will change without a protracted ground war. Are you willing to sign up your kids to fight for this? Only 21% of Americans think this was a good idea.
