Yeah. Once they’re dead, no point talking about vaccination status. I don’t know that that crowd believes the vaccine would have made a difference. On Twitter and on Reddit, a ton of examples of this exact scenario (MAGA anti vaccine posts on FB seem in screen shots, followed by that person’s hospitalization and/or death). Herman Cain Awards.
I don't know if it was on here or in some opinion piece about the Herman Cain Awards reddit page, but I read a comment saying that one of the most disturbing aspects of these scenarios is how accepting the families seem to be of this fate. "He was my best friend and the love of my life. We'll miss you, Scott!"
A lot of those people have a vested interest in pushing the narrative that covid is nothing special and that we should all welcome death with open arms whenever and however it comes to us. It is disturbing because there’s a gaslighting quality to it.
Yes, some of the posts are disturbing because there is a distinct sense of "welp, what can you do, death by a vaccine-preventable illness amirite?!?" quality to them. My personal theory is that some of the people who died were very hard to live with and the people announcing the deaths have mixed feelings.
