My husband, who travels for business a lot, confirmed my theory saying that he has observed airlines messing with his female colleagues' flight/seating arrangements, more so than with the men's.[/quote]

Agree.  My DH has a minor mobility impairment that means he travels with a cane.  When we fly, I take care of everything including all of our luggage (including all carryons) and our infant, he only has to get himself to his seat.  He regularly gets amazing service from everyone at the airports and airlines whereas I get treated like crap or like I'm invisible.

Don't even get me started over the fawning all over him when he holds our daughter so I can get a bathroom break.  "Oh what a great daddy!"  Ma'am, he's holding her for a total of 15 minutes of this 6 hour flight, I'm taking care of her the other 5 hours and 45 minutes in addition to helping him throughout.  He's a good guy but let's cut it with the handing out medals for taking care of his own child for a total of 4.17% of the flight.  [/quote]
