If the US has lost the race it is because the GOP, in deference to its benefactors in Saudi Arabia, Russia and Big Oil, paid them to do so. Jimmy Carter started the green revolution in response to the oil shocks of the 1970's as a strategic and moral imperative. W got it from a strategic standpoint, but not from an economic or consumer perspective. And trump tore everything down, not once, but now, twice.[/quote]
