Cristina was hand-picked by the AC/DC. The AEA doesn’t endorse even mildly controversial candidates, always the incumbent. They endorsed Lander in 2017.[/quote]

Very interesting, thank you! I still would have pegged Sandy as the least controversial candidate out there and, coupled with her extensive educational background, she seemed a very logical choice to get the endorsement. I think she's pretty much a lock to get one of the SB seats.

I didn’t mean to say controversial in her positions, but she’s not a lock to win one of the two spots. I think the AEA is pretty sure Cristina is a lock, given her support from much higher up in the Dem party, even outside Arlington (for reasons that have nothing to do with our local SB). They endorse the presumptive winner, so they don’t make an enemy.[/quote]
