St. Albans 11 - Episcopal 10 double ot
who cares, two horrible teams, make the IAC look bad
"Horrible teams"? Okay, will get beaten by Landon or Bullis for sure. But "horrible"? Methinks not. Could handily beat most any other team outside of the DMV.
yes, you heard me right, the IAC doesn't get the national recognition because of these two shitty teams. It's a fact. The bottom end of the miaa is SO much better than the bottom end of the IAC. Kick St. Albans and EHS out, replace them with gonzaga, PVI
Don't lump St Albans with EHS. Even in dark days of Bulldog lacrosse we beat Maroon. Times are changing and Bulldogs are on the rise. EHS has like 2 wins in last 5 years of IAC play, including playoffs. IAC should replace Maroon with Gonz, STJ or Potomac. Or all 3.
Agree Bulldogs are on the rise, and EHS will be at the bottom of the IAC for the foreseeable future. A good lesson to be learned here. The Maroon is a team built around 1 player. Despite his formidable talent, he can't carry the entire team. Lax is a true team sport. The Bulldogs are more balanced. The defense seemed effective, making up for a talent deficit with ferocity and focus. The offense is as exciting as I've ever seen this team play, playing very uptempo, with shifty dodgers and others who just power their way passed defenders. Their Yalie commit goalie looks as good advertised, and the FOgO who transferred in this year has to be one reason why the Bulldogs are rebuilding well. Good for you STA for getting out of the IAC cellar. The fix for the Maroon is actually staring us in the face. EHS is not shy about recruiting. Look what they are doing on the football side of things. Seems like all they need is a Canadian pipeline for lax too, and they can become a real powerhouse.
The bulldogs are NOT in the rise. Don't know why people keep saying that on here. They've lost to DeMatha, and Potomac, and barley beat flint hill. Next year they graduate pretty much their whole defense, their goalie (who is the only reason they are somewhat competitive). They are not deep, and have the worst JV team in the area. Tell me again how that's "on the rise"
Hey, whack job St Albans basher - just how many of your sons got rejected from the school for you to have such a gigantic chip on your shoulder? Pretty easy to get a rise out of you in any event. I think the point of the "on the rise" St Albans booster (and he can correct me if I'm wrong), is that the team is better than it has been in awhile. And that's hard to debate. Everything is relative. They won 4 games two years ago. 4! They have won 10 this season. Even when they lose to Bullis next week, they will have he first winning season in 8 years. I've read through this entire thread. There are definitely some St Albans fans posting positive things. But no one has said they will beat a Landon or a Bullis or a Gonzaga anytime soon. Let the dawgs take pride in the fact in the gains of the team. No need to bash them at all, let alone with such unrelenting vitriol.
