"Horrible teams"? Okay, will get beaten by Landon or Bullis for sure. But "horrible"? Methinks not. Could handily beat most any other team outside of the DMV.
Don't lump St Albans with EHS. Even in dark days of Bulldog lacrosse we beat Maroon. Times are changing and Bulldogs are on the rise.
EHS has like 2 wins in last 5 years of IAC play, including playoffs. IAC should replace Maroon with Gonz, STJ or Potomac. Or all 3.
Agree Bulldogs are on the rise, and EHS will be at the bottom of the IAC for the foreseeable future. A good lesson to be learned here. The Maroon is a team built around 1 player. Despite his formidable talent, he can't carry the entire team. Lax is a true team sport. The Bulldogs are more balanced. The defense seemed effective, making up for a talent deficit with ferocity and focus. The offense is as exciting as I've ever seen this team play, playing very uptempo, with shifty dodgers and others who just power their way passed defenders. Their Yalie commit goalie looks as good advertised, and the FOgO who transferred in this year has to be one reason why the Bulldogs are rebuilding well. Good for you STA for getting out of the IAC cellar.
The fix for the Maroon is actually staring us in the face. EHS is not shy about recruiting. Look what they are doing on the football side of things. Seems like all they need is a Canadian pipeline for lax too, and they can become a real powerhouse.
