He LIED and then lied and lied again ........ the guy is so stupid that he does not realize that his repeated lies about what happened is not helping him. He is a moron - albeit a moron who can swim and has won medals.
Right but it's a scandal and scandals blow over. Think about how many celebrity scandals we've seen even of the criminal variety -- people do land; he just needs to disappear from the headlines for a while and all will be forgotten. And if he goes to rehab to turn his life around -- even better -- we love a good turnaround story in this country.
He is yesterday's news and with the ban he faces he will be too old to stage any kind of recovery. You really need to listen to his original lie about a gun being pointed at his head by the police and being robbed, etc. And the amazing thing is that he keeps using words like exaggerate and overreact when he should just acknowledge that he made up a lot of crap and apologize. This moron says that he was still intoxicated hours after he got back and tries to rationalize his lies with that excuse even as he says that he is not making excuses. The guy is an imbecile.
Evidence suggests he did have a gun pointed at him. Why do people keep talking about how dumb he is? Who do you think you're breaking this news to, PP? It's almost enough to make me question your intelligence.
He said that a gun was pointed at this head by people dressed like the police as part of a robbery. This was an outright lie but like fucking politicians he has to sugar coat it and say that it was an exaggeration or as a politician would say a "misstatement". The guy vandalized a property and then got belligerent with security at the gas station. To make matters worse he claims that the reason for him making it up is that he was still intoxicated hours after the incident. He lied about when he returned to the Olympic village and when he left the night club. There are reports that he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and given the way he has conducted himself in interviews that is an understatement. I wish Matt Lauer and others would just point blank tell the guy that what he did was to lie - not exaggerate, not overreact but outright lie and in the process besmirch the people in Rio and the rest of the US Olympic team. The asshole thought that given Rio's crime stats he could get away with just lying about it but the moron did not realize there were cameras offering video proof of his lies.
Still not seeing any brazen lies. The men pointing guns were probably in a uniform and/or showing a security badge. If every dude who pissed outside and tore a poster (or the like) had guns pointed at them and a subsequent public shaming, there are a lot of moms both in DC proper and in McClean who would be traumatized right now.
American Lives Matter. F*ck the rest, of course. How do they dare impose their laws on us, in their country.
