I thought the comment was self explanatory. Others can build the courts if they like - plenty of communities have sufficient resources and interest to do so. And of course my children would go to those courts and play after school, assuming they would like to do so. No, I was not making any point about their coaching or travel teams other than that they are pretty damned good. They also host a great futsal tourney but that is nothing unique - most clubs have their teams doing leagues during winter.
I see, I think soccer and clubs as a pair has been ingrained within us so much that we can't think of one without the other. The Alexandria club would, in my opinion, have nothing to do with the Alexandria city constructing futsal courts. There are actually no fields that I know of that are open to the public exclusively. They are all reserved by some program or club during the popular after-school hours. I recall seeing a bunch of teenagers show up to one of three fields my DS club has a couple months ago to play under the lights. A half of that field goes unused while the other two are filled with club teams practicing. The lights go off about 15 minutes after practice ends, however.
