This. In November 2024, no one will remember that the Democrats were the grownups in the room to end the vote. The average American does not care about this chaos. The concessions McCarthy is making is weakening the Speaker's role. The Democrats will benefit from this. [/quote]

We all lose when whoever is speaker refuses to raise the debt ceiling creating global economic chaos that benefits the Russians and China.

concessions would be part of a rules package, but if he doesn't have the votes, it won't pass. According to politico, he's offering chairmanships to freedom party members which isn't going over well with the members who were in line for the positions. [/quote]
