So a kid was transferred?  I do believe that MCPS cut the lines, sending kids in Clarksburg to Damascus.  I know they transfer kids all the time - "making deals." That was a big thing in the DCC and NEC.  A Kennedy kid would be sent to Springbrook, for example.  It was a hot mess, but this wheeling and dealing was done behind the scenes.

I wish principals would stand up.  It's devastating to schools when their own leaders are spineless.  And yes, I do blame them as much as I blame teachers who are too fearful to speak up.  I used to receive emails all the time saying, "We support you. You have a lot of support behind the scenes."  yada yaday - But that did me no good.  I'm one person.

But again, until the masses rise up, we will continue to abuse ourselves.[/quote]
