Ok heres a better version 8/1/2009 and younger = Senior 8/1/2009 and younger = Junior 8/1/2011 and younger = Sophmore 8/1/2012 and younger = Freshman 8/1/2013 and younger = 8th 8/1/2014 and younger = 7th 8/1/2015 and younger = 6th 8/1/2016 and younger = 5th 8/1/2017 and younger = 4th 8/1/2018 and younger = 3rd 8/1/2019 and younger = 2nd 8/1/2020 and younger = 1st 8/1/2021 and younger = kindergarten
No My fall bday 2011 will be a 9th grader next fall, not a sophomore. You keep trying though, you’ll get it eventually!
So you're saying that your kid was born between 9/1-11/30 (fall) and is a 2011 in 8th grade now but will be 9th grade next fall. On average 8th grade students right now would be 2011 9/1 to 2012 9/1. This would make your kid one of the oldest in their grade. So it would look like this next fall when SY starts. Junior and Senior are both 2008 because this age group is combined. 8/1/2008 and younger = Senior 8/1/2008 and younger = Junior 8/1/2010 and younger = Sophmore 8/1/2011 and younger = Freshman 8/1/2012 and younger = 8th 8/1/2013 and younger = 7th 8/1/2014 and younger = 6th 8/1/2015 and younger = 5th 8/1/2016 and younger = 4th 8/1/2017 and younger = 3rd 8/1/2017 and younger = 2nd 8/1/2019 and younger = 1st 8/1/2020 and younger = kindergarten
This really is less confusing. I'm looking at it and all the different scenarios are covered. Theres nothing left open about playing up and regrades question is also covered. Parents can still ask questions but nothing is left open to interpretation.
