I am an older millenial who is somewhat frustrated by the lack of upward mobility in my career right now, but I think a lot of the problem is that boomers are working later.  Some of them have to, which is sad, but since I entered the workforce in 2009, I have seen people who should have retired a long time ago refuse to leave their jobs.  I don't blame them -- I think the economy really hurt people's ability to retire.  It's just sort of frustrating because opportunities to advance are few and far between right now.  I'm happy to put in my time, but I want to know there is a career ladder for me to climb and I'm not just on an eternal hamster wheel.[/quote]
