I agree with you. 
Does anyone seriously believe that President Trump called the family with the intent of insulting or disrespecting them? 
If Congresswoman was a decent person, she would have consoled Myeshia by telling her that the president meant no harm and just wanted her to know how much his service to his country was appreciated. 
But, instead, she saw an opportunity and pounced on it.  Couldn’t wait to go to the press.

What Congresswoman Wilson should have done, if the call was not received well by the family, would be to privately call CoS Kelly, explain that the widow was upset by his phone call, and work it out from there.
