There is one person who is saying what will happen. There is another person who is interpreting the rules the way they want them implemented. Rules allow for clubs to do whatever they want with Aug birthdays. The rule is 8/1 and younger can play on X team. The whole concept of a 12 month eligibility window doesnt apply because players are allowed to play up. This is where people are getting stuck. US Soccer shouldn't have said SY= 8/1-7/31 when in actuality SY=8/1 and younger is the grouping. The 7/31 bound doesnt exist if players can play up. It just creates a mental roadblock for some people.[/quote]You lose one argument to a bunch of people and then bounce back to square one with trying to create a rule to make youth soccer fit what you want to help your personal situation but create big problems for kids that aren't yours. It isn't going to happen. It's a zero sum game and you are just trying to be selfish.  Rinse and repeat.

If you have nothing new to add, you can just not post. You aren't raising awareness. Anybody with sense isn't reading hundreds of pages to learn anything here.

Sorry, leagues announced 8/1 - 7/31 in the summer except MLSN1, local teams announced no forcing up in winter posts and made it clear in the announcements that they limit playing up.

Because leagues allow playing up "8/1 and under" is the same thing as "8/1-7/31". The 7/31 date is unnecessary. Also 7/31 creates the false perception that there is a lower bound for the eligibility window when it doesnt exist because players can play up.

You've taken the unnecessary 7/31 date and ran with it to the point where you believe only players in a 12 month window should be rostered on a team. Which is clearly not true because all leagues allow playing up. If leagues wanted a strict 12 month eligibility window they wouldnt allow playing up. Its unfortunate that the 7/31 date exists because your interpretation is not correct. Which is causing you to spread incorrect information to others.[/quote]
