I agree with this from the view why pay all this money if your kid has no interest in playing in college. However if a kid wants to compete and their highest level possible then go do something else for college that’s alright also.

In SY Aug/Sept and sometimes Nov qualify for the grade down team. If they choose to play on that team they will be ignored by college coaches when it comes time for recruiting. The easy solution is for Aug birthdays to play up on their correcr grade in school team.[/quote]In BY, Jan- Jul were playing in a grade below. Didn't hurt recruiting. Easy solution is to stay with facts, birthdays rather than something variable by state, school start ages which grades don't even have official documents to report to verification firms. Nobody plays down in HS soccer unless they were held back in school. You play on an older team or you play on the team thats your grade in school.

On Senior night they don't call up all the Seniors from lower level teams to be given an award / acknowledgment.

If you dont make the team that's your grade you stop playing.[/quote]
