I agree with this from the view why pay all this money if your kid has no interest in playing in college. However if a kid wants to compete and their highest level possible then go do something else for college that’s alright also.

In SY Aug/Sept and sometimes Nov qualify for the grade down team. If they choose to play on that team they will be ignored by college coaches when it comes time for recruiting. The easy solution is for Aug birthdays to play up on their correcr grade in school team.[/quote]In BY, Jan- Jul were playing in a grade below. Didn't hurt recruiting. Easy solution is to stay with facts, birthdays rather than something variable by state, school start ages which grades don't even have official documents to report to verification firms. College coaches said they aren't ignoring anyone, they don't care about age groups. Recruits have to seek out colleges.[/quote]
