I wouldn't look at it that way at all. LS #3 = VRSC #3. VRSC doesn't have a #1 or #2 team yet. If they are able to get MLSN then they will form new teams that will become comparable with LS #1 and #2.

This is exactly what happened on the girls side. VRSC got Girls Academy and formed two completely new teams that will be comparable to LS #1 and LS #2. The existing VRSC Black team remains #3 in NCSL.

It's not useful to compare teams from clubs of different sizes based on their order in the club. Makes more sense to compare teams in similar leagues. Compare NCSL teams with NCSL, RL/EDP teams, GA/ECNL/MLSN teams.[/quote]

True, but Metro was created from scratch and never got over the hump.   [b]At least VRSC has a base.[/b]   Having said that  not sure where they will end up with all the GA/ECNL clubs in the region. It's hard to predict.   On the flip side, a team to our north , the Ukies, joined the GA just a few years ago and they were abysmal in GA for the first couple of years.   Now they will be a hailed addition to ECNL next year.

Yes, FCV is the base. FCV lost all of their GA players, coaches, and field for next year. Majority of them are going to VRSC, some to VDA, some to other clubs. The GA club that is starting completely from scratch is TSJFC (formerly FCV). At this point it would be more accurate to refer to VRSC as formerly FCV. [/quote]
