It was 1,400, not 2,000. And I don't know why he couldn't save all 2,000. But I do know that that people around here were positive that Trump could do nothing to bring manufacturing jobs back. Thus far,-before even being sworn in!!!--he's gotten Ford to reconsider (and stop) moving certain jobs to Mexico, gotten Carrier to keep 1,000 jobs from going to Mexico, gotten Canada and Mexico to publicly state a willingness to renegotiate NAFTA, and Kia is already talking about moving jobs from Korea to its US plants in response to Trump's election. 2/7 is not 1/2. Try to be honest. Maybe he can't bring the manufacturing sector back, but he's trying and he's moving it in the right direction. What's amazing is that you (like Obama) can't even concede it's possible despite the fact that he's already influencing decisions in his desired direction. Maybe he can't bring the whole thing back, but since when is it a bad thing that a president elect actually tries to do something about this issue and gets modest results?

It is also worth noting that the same people who claimed he would never get the GOP nomination and then said he would never win the election are now claiming he can't bring back manufacturing jobs. Perhaps you guys don't have the world quite as figured out as you seem to think you do?  At the very least be humbled by your mistakes and wait and see if he can pull it off. [/quote]
