OK poster, ask who? And how exactly would Hardy feeders have supported Hyde's efforts? Keep your grubby paws off of what is "mine" is the order of the day it seems, at least for you.
FFS! There is a Hardy feeder school group made up of PTA/PTO types that I participate on! that seemed like a decent starting point of a place to ask for help and support.
Awesome! And what exactly would y'all have done to help????
I can't tell if you're being facetious or if H-A is playing dumb or what. Just off the top of my head I think one way the other feeder elementaries could've helped is if you guys had reached out to explain that Ellington Field was a possible swing location and the one that the school community preferred. You could have explained how it would work and made the pitch that keeping H-A in the neighborhood helps Hardy (more IB families), etc. Had you gotten all the parent Association's at the feeders to write letters supporting the Ellington Field plan, collectively that could've been a good counter argument to the Burleith association. But we weren't looped in until we read in the neighborhood paper that one plan was to invade the Hardy campus, taking up every inch of space, inside and out. That was a shitty way to find out about a plan we were never going to accept. You could still try to come up with a neighborhood plan and ask feeders to support it, but it is admittedly harder now that everyone's feeling a little burned. But so long as you don't try to undercut our efforts at Hardy I'd personally be happy to lend support of a swing plan for H-A that it's community supports.
