Right, but the other issue is that our HOA has much stricter noise ordinance limits than the county.  However, our ineffective HOA president is too wishy washy to enforce the HOA covenant (not just about this but about other issues in the neighborhood that we have heard about). SO it's NOT loud enough to be illegal... and none of your other neighbors can hear it...only you.  And you wonder 'why won't EVERYONE just do what you tell them to do???.'   Well It's their own private property, and the hoa is not your personal ocd enforcer.  You being annoyed by the noise isn't sufficient to violate the hoa.  I could argue that I'm disturbed by hearing your kid crying at night, but unless many neighbors concur or there's s ban on babies it's just me being cranky.  Everyone is ignoring you because you are the crazy one, op.  You don't get to run the neighborhood.  Go move to a big farm where you can find some peace, maybe.  I think you'll find though that getting rid of the noise is not going to help with your ocd.   [/quote]
