OP, you are in the wrong and you know it. If you thought you had a legitimate complaint, you wouldn't be too scared to tell us what the noise is.

But our association doesn't mess around. Example - A few weeks ago my neighbor parked his boat in front of his house. You can have it on the street for 24 hours. No one complained. The might have had it in the street six or seven hours too long (not even a full day). They were hit with s $250 fine. I got a warning note because one of the numbers on my mailbox was crooked and loose. Annoying, but worth it to avoid exactly what you are dealing with. Your HOA needs to step up.

A crooked number on a mail box? Holy sh*t this would infuriate me. This is why HOAs, even ones that charge me $25/year, will turn me off a property big time. No thanks. Go to Hell.

I keep picturing op standing in a bathrobe in her upscale backyard at 3am pointing an iPhone furiously over the neighbors fence..... And I have to admit I laugh.

Op, you suck donkey balls for not telling us what the source of the sound is.

Right, but the other issue is that our HOA has much stricter noise ordinance limits than the county. However, our ineffective HOA president is too wishy washy to enforce the HOA covenant (not just about this but about other issues in the neighborhood that we have heard about). So how does one deal with that?

SO it's NOT loud enough to be illegal... and none of your other neighbors can hear it...only you. And you wonder 'why won't EVERYONE just do what you tell them to do???.' Well It's their own private property, and the hoa is not your personal ocd enforcer. You being annoyed by the noise isn't sufficient to violate the hoa. I could argue that I'm disturbed by hearing your kid crying at night, but unless many neighbors concur or there's s ban on babies it's just me being cranky. Everyone is ignoring you because you are the crazy one, op. You don't get to run the neighborhood. Go move to a big farm where you can find some peace, maybe. I think you'll find though that getting rid of the noise is not going to help with your ocd.

I don't know why op is being so cryptic, her neighbours already know she's the one posting this message. Ain't no hiding her kind of crazy!

The noise is coming from inside YOUR house

If no one else can hear it, I'm guessing this shit is all in your head. And as cryptic and dramatic as you're being with this whole thing, I'm thinking you're probably neurotic as hell and hearing/making up stuff to justify hating the neighbors who happen to be different from you.

If the noise is real, and it's coming from something in their yard, buy some Liquid Ass and spray it all over said item while they're gone. Do this every time the noise annoys you. Maybe they'll get the hint and cut it out. If this is even real.

OP, invite your neighbors over so they can hear it from your house.
