Holy Misplaced Historical Perspective. 10 years, lady? Try 25. The phrase was coined in 1990, and the parenting has its roots in the 1980s. As a Gen Xer, I say you are completely wrong that it is millennial fostering this type of parent. But stay clueless. Your biases and beliefs are more important than the truth, of course.
