Older Xers were.
Middle Xers were Reality Bites.
5am
Younger Xers were Clueless (the movie, not the adjective!).
I'm one of the in-betweens, born in 80, we don't fit with a lot of the Reality Bites part of what people think when they think Gen X but we also didn't have facebook until after college.
You are Hootie and the Blowfish generation. I am sorry to say, but you got it bad. Belong nowhere, had bad music, growing up became a nightmare filled with activities and really nothing culture good came out of late 90s. Sorry. Now, I was born in 70 and I had it good. Running around, nobody made me read before school! Taking public transportation everywhere, partying till 5am even when 16, not bad stuff, just dancing and having fun. I feel so sad for my kids who now as teens have none of that.
