If you're an ex-punk oldster, you should still be going to 9:30 Club for what I call their oldies shows:  X, Jonathan Richman, Buzzcocks, Paul Weller and lots of others hit there at least once every year or so. Gary Numan at the Black Cat. Relive your happy childhood, I say. [/quote]

Or just hit the 9:30 club anytime there are "older" bands there.  And I find some of the classic country shows (Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam) skew older. Plus, some of the dance nights (80's, 90's) at The Black Cat are while not full of over 50 years olds - pretty age stratified so you would feel comfortable dancing and hanging out.[/quote]
