Pew's 2011 data is an average age of 27. If I wanted a SAH spouse, I'd feel more comfortable marrying someone who had at least some years of steady adult employment under their belt. It shows both the ability to be responsible day in and out, as well as reassuring me that they could care for my kids in the event of my untimely death.[/quote]
