Amal IS much younger than George but at 37 years of age, she is hardly in the bloom of her youth. George had previously dated and bedded many beautiful women in their prime but the two times he danced his way down the aisle he did with a. an older woman and b. a woman who is past her prime. He could've married any of his previous girlfriends but he chose to settle down with a woman who exhibits intelligence and is probably a better companion to him. She is attractive and younger than him, but she is no Kate Upton. [/quote]

First thing other things definitely matter besides looks such as personality and compatibility. It is not incomprehensible that George could pick any woman he wanted and he picked a woman with all attributes. However she had a certain level of beauty and is much younger than his 54 years of age. That is a 17 year age gap. The reverse is highly unlikely. [/quote]
