I'm 31 and haven't gotten noticed in years. Probably since college and even then it was mostly by drunk guys. I am basically invisible. I'm tall and a normal/average weight (BMI normal, not "average overweight American" normal), wear makeup, normal clothes - not revealing but not baggy sweats either. I'm just not attractive.
Ridiculous. Do not believe. You may not be movie star beautiful but I can tell by what you wrote that you have beauty outside and inside. Go to a good hair stylist, makeup artist, and fashionable clothes. Beauty doesn't come naturally to most of us and we take advantage of modern day miracles as noted above.
It doesn't really bother me though! But I am 8 months pregnant and I've noticed the difference in how people treat me. Now I'm definitely "noticed" and people (strangers, coworkers, acquaintances, etc.) are generally very kind. Holding doors, at work asking "if" I can do something instead of "DO IT NOW" and checking with my schedule, people let me go ahead in line at the grocery store, little things like that. Both men and women. The truth is that I don't have a pretty face. I have deep-set eyes and dark undereye circles (genetics are a bitch like that), a large and slightly crooked nose, thin lips, and a double-chin no matter what my weight is. I could wear Kardashian levels of makeup and still look rough. But my husband loves me anyway and although it sucks not to get any "beauty privelege" in society, we all get old and faded eventually so meh, I'm just a few steps ahead of the game.
