It does feel like a different show and maybe that's what they're going for. I remember reading in Chris Harrison's blog last season that they were taking themselves less seriously - they realize that the premise is a bit silly, the cat's out of the bag on the fact that they do pick some crazy contestants, and that while they genuinely do hope for a happy couple at the end, it's rather ridiculous process at times. I think with farmer Chris, they were going for more funny and more silly. With Kaitlyn, I think they initially were intending to keep the funnier, sillier angle but then the drama started and just kept coming, so they decided to milk that instead. I'm sure it's working too - rankings must be good given all that's happened. [/quote]
