I think recent history will be kind to him because of his skin color but I think long term history will show he was a disaster.  Don't get me wrong, he seems like a nice guy but he was not ready and has made many many poor choices that down the line will show his inadequacy  [/quote]
OP here.  This is what I think about how Obama will be viewed historically as well.  I think he just wasn't ready for the politics of it all.  He got his big chance with Obamacare, and screwed it up.

I also think GWB will be viewed poorly through the lens of time as well, basically due to the Iraq war.  By then we'll have forgotten about the WMD, but we'll remember that it was GWB who pushed it.[/quote]
