This year there has been a shooting threat and numerous fights at my daughters schools.  It took her a few years to even get comfortable going to this school.  I'm so glad she is graduating this year, but if I could choose again---buy in Olney or upper Rockville if 600k is your housing range. Don't try to force your kids to go to school in "bad" schools.  It is not worth it.

Even socializing is an issue because the other kids can't afford to get together on the weekends and do normal teen-age activities.[/quote]
