He said once it seemed boring to shoot at the range, so I assume he's not that into it as a hobby, and probably has it more for self defense. That probably explains why he'd rather keep it nearby than at a gun range. Still, I think it's dumb to use it for self defense because then you are taking the law into your own hands.[/quote]
