Sorry, blanket statements don't work for either side of this discussion.  My friends and I are part of ALL Women and have not had to deal with the systematic oppression of rape culture as you choose to call it.  Catcalled, groped and harassed at work, all of us?  Sounds like someone takes herself way too seriously.   I truly feel for you if you have been raped -- no woman should have to go through that ever -- but equating this other juvenile male nonsense that most of us manage to ignore with rape, is just silly.[/quote]

Are you truly unable to grasp how a society that has a cavalier attitude towards so called 'juvenile' things like groping a woman might also have a cavalier attitude to rape?  Is it not possible that people who do things like grope an unwilling person might graduate to rape? [/quote]
