The thing I am taking away from this thread (in addition to my heart breaking for OP - seriously, as a mom to reflux premie who thankfully grew out of it, this is simply heartbreaking to read), is that we as a society might consider doing more to make milk banks more accessible for both babies and donating moms.  As a mom of a premie, I know they need donated milk, but there are other babies that also could benefit.  I personally tried to donate all of my frozen breast milk (I pumped for months in the hopes that my baby would eventually take the milk, all to no avail) and the banks that I contacted wouldn't take it because I had been taking fenugreek, which I think is so incredibly common among women who pump and breastfeed.  It was incredibly depressing to realize I had literally hundreds of ounces of milk that went to waste.[/quote]
