There are a lot of affordable brands around that have luxury editions - that might be a better way to go. My in-laws have a Corolla and while I love the gas mileage it's not the most comfortable car around - then my parents came to visit and rented a Corola Luxury edition. Man what a difference! All the neat extras, nicer look inside and much more comfy for long trips as well. Probably too small for a family car, but the point still stands. I think a luxury version of a great affordable family car will serve you better than a Mercedes just for yourself.

Maybe I am biased...I don't think Mercedes is worth the money, you pay for the name. Tons of better brands around for the same money or even less.[/quote]
