Every year I hear of a number of really smart kids who don't get into engineering at tech. And I am one of those who do think that Penn State is overrated in USNWR. Part of the boost comes from their sports (minimized a bit by pedophilia scandal) and location -- which is more accessible than Blacksburg or West Lafayette, IN where Purdue is. [/quote]
