Had DC as a single parent on 48K 4 years ago. In 2014, my income will be nearly double. Made 75k in 2013. Being the sole income earner inspired me. The other benefit is my retirement accounts have ballooned during that time.

I save but don't penny pinch and we definitely enjoy life. I haven't figured out how I'm paying for summer camp either (due next month), but I'm hoping that I have a nice tax refund to cover it. If not, I'll figure it out.[/quote]
