Or, you can stop "haggling."  You can do the hard work of figuring out why she feels that way.  You can respect her wishes, even if they aren't your own, because they are the wishes of the adult partner in your marriage.  Or you can draw an honest line in the sand and say "Sorry, I am not willing to do that."  That's called "being a grown up," and yes, sometimes it's harder than being a lying coward.[/quote]
