I'm in McLean, but if my budget were below $1.5 and I wanted new construction, I would also look at Falls Church/22043, whether in the McLean or the Marshall HS districts, and Falls Church City/22046.  There will be a "best" house for you, but no one else on this forum can presume to know your tastes and trade-offs better than you do.  Good luck.
