I concur with the recs for 22101 on the GW Parkway/123 side - close to DC and feeds into McLean High School. Langley High School is far out there, so if driving to DC is a factor, I'd avoid it. Or hit Country Club Hills on the other side of the McLean/Arlington line, which puts you in 22207 feeding into Yorktown, which is the equivalent to McLean High School on the Arlington side, and also a quick shot into DC. $1.5 mill on either side of these lines buys you a decent property and a good commute into DC. Does not buy you metro access or walkability, though. You're committing to the car.
Yorktown is not equivalent to McLean sorry.
Um, sorry, it is in my opinion. I don't really care what you think, and once again, I assume this is the same insane Marshall booster who thinks that Marshall is a superior school.
Opinion vs facts and test scores.
Oh, goodness. If the only reason you're here is to boost a high school in Falls Church (but apparently you view Falls Church as McLean?), then just start your own "Marshall is so awesome" thread. Please. I assure you, no one seriously considering a $1.5 million home in McLean is also considering the Marshall area. However, many do consider the Country Club Hills area right across the border in North Arlington. So Yorktown doesn't have trouble attracting folks, despite its purportedly horrible scores.
I have no idea why you are talking about Marshall or Yorktown on this thread. The test scores and ratings prove that McLean is clearly the superior school. Marshall was brought into the argument to prove that it is rated lower than McLean and Yorktown is rated lower than Marshall therefore Yorktown is rated lower than McLean. I am using test scores and facts not what you talk about at your Country Club Hills bbq or whatever you do up in arlington.
