You went from DC not having many chains to you preferring other restaurants over them. Good for you and everyone that feels as you do. I happen to be one of them. I'm still not dumb enough to go around acting like DC doesn't have a ton packed into such a small area. It's ok not to be snobby about it. [/quote]

What's snobby about it?  It's just that they are THERE, right out the door.  Without a car.  Some of the non-chain dives I go to in DC are certainly not in competition with Macaroni Grill.  Macaroni Grill would be better, but it would be a hassle to get there. [/quote]
